With the advent of the Internet’s platform, the reach for media
presentations is now readily global. Creation of dramatic content is no
longer the sole province of Hollywood or major entertainment centers.
YouTube and other video streaming venues have become primary delivery
systems for getting one’s creative efforts into the world. Concurrently, the
development of mobisodes and webisodes is adding a new layer to the means
and methods for generating an alternative for traditional series television.
In this session, award-winning television and stage writer Craig Volk
explores the history and changing dynamic of dramatic content for television
and beyond. Drawing upon his extensive experience as a writer and producer
for the television industry, Volk will supplement his presentation with
video examples creating new streams of series content created in
collaboration with his students.
